Wanda T. (Cardoni) Molinaro, 97, of Scranton passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.
She was born on May 30, 1926, in Scranton, to Oreste and
Marsilia Bettelli Cardoni.
Wanda, a devout Catholic was a member of many religious organizations, including the Alter and Rosary Society and the Over 50 Club. She belonged to St Paul of the Cross Parish at The Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary Church, formerly St Francis of Assisi Parish Scranton.
Wanda married Anthony Molinaro, and worked as a homemaker, caring for her husband and their son.
Wanda enjoyed cooking, and baking, but especially loved spending time with her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Wanda is survived by her son, John Molinaro and his fiancé Lynn Hoffman, of Lewisburg; and a sister-in-law, Catherine Cardoni, Huntington Valley.
In addition to her parents, Wanda is preceded in death by her husband Anthony Molinaro (1992), brothers, Albert and Alfred Cecchini, Alexander Cardoni and sister Emma Statuto.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 9:30 AM from Eagen Hughes Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM at St Paul of the Cross Parish at The Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary Church.
Friends and family are invited for visitation on Friday, June 16, 2023, from 4-7PM at Eagan Hughes Funeral Home, 2908 Birney Avenue, Scranton.
Interment is in the Italian American Cemetery, Cemetery Ave., Scranton.
