Mary E. Atherholt

Mary E. Crich Atherholt 90, of Morgantown, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, in Edenbrook Nursing Home, Kingston.

Mary was born in Wilkes-Barre, to the late George and Dorothy Crich.

She graduated from high school and went on to start her career as a nurses aide at the Leader East Nursing Home in Kingston, where she worked for 20 years.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband Asa Atherholt, Jr, children, Kimberly Atherholt, Jacqueline Atherholt, Byron Atherholt, Allen Atherholt, Asa Atherholt III, siblings, Robert, Douglas, and Georgette Crich, and Jacqueline O'Brian.

She is survived by her children, Larry Atherholt, Susan Benya, Stephen Atherholt, Elaine Romanek, sister, Elenor Marcavich, 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

The Funeral Service for Mary will be held on Monday, August 17, 2026 at 12:00 PM at Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, Inc. 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 10 AM-12 PM, Monday, August 17 at the funeral home.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
