Marion Mahle, 86, of Laflin, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

Born April 5, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Helen Wargo Macejko and Joseph Macejko. She was a graduate of Coughlin High School. She enjoyed spending time with fellow classmates and celebrating class reunions.

On June 21, 1958, she married Thomas Mahle and enjoyed 55 years with him until his passing in 2013.

Before retirement, Marion was employed at Valley Crest Nursing Home and retired from the Luzerne County Courthouse,

She was an active member of St. Maria Goretti Church, Laflin, PA and it's Altar and Rosary Society. She also enjoyed attending mass and baking at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish at St. Aloysius Church, Barney and Division streets, Wilkes-Barre. She was very strong in her faith and supported both churches.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Josephine and Elaine (in infancy), Margie Madison, Lillian Kovich, Helen Kowalick. She missed her sisters tremendously. Many good times were spent with them going shopping and attending the annual pig roast in Hallstead with her sisters' families and their children. She was a friend to a lot of people. She took great pleasure in her birthday club luncheons with her friends,

Marion is survived by her children Thomas J. Mahle (Gail) Aventura, FL, Robert Mahle (Kathleen) Wyoming, PA, Kelly Holden (Jeff), Severn, MD; grandchildren Sean Holden, Julie Ann Mahle, Mason Holden, great grandson Levi; nieces and nephews, and friends.

The entire Mahle family is grateful for the care and compassion received from Dr Patrick Kerrigan and his staff, and the staff of General Hospital's ICU unit, and a special thank you to the staff at Allied Skilled Nursing Unit and Hospice on Meade Street for their loving care, not only for their mother but to the family as well.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 17, 11:30 AM at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish at St. Aloysius Church, 143 West Division St., Wilkes-Barre. Relatives and friends are asked to go directly to church the morning of the mass.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, July 16, 2026 from 6-8 PM at Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.

Entombment will follow mass on Friday, July 17, 2026 at Mary Mother of God Mausoleum in St. Mary's Cemetery Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Arrangements are entrusted to Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, Inc, 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.

In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions in her name to St Maria Goretti Church, 42 Redwood Dr., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702 and/or St Robert Bellarmine Parish, 143 West Division St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18706.
