Jean F. Smith

Jean Smith, 89, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at The Meadows Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Dallas.

She was born Christmas Eve, December 24, 1934, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Jean was the daughter of the late Maggie (Harding) Smith and Westover Smith. She graduated from Beaumont High School in 1952. After high school she was employed by Bocar Dress Company and later by the Methodist Manor in Tunkhannock. Jean was a faithful member of the Eaton Baptist Church, Tunkhannock.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Nelson and Arthur.

Surviving is her sister Joyce Race, sisters-in-law Nancy Smith, Janette Smith and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Eaton Baptist Church, 820 Hunter Hwy, Tunkhannock, PA 18657.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Sunday, September 15, 2024, 3:00PM, at the Eaton Baptist Church, 820 Hunter Hwy., Tunkhannock.
