James J. Brody

James J. Brody, 94, of Monroe Township, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in Leighton Place Nursing Home, Williamsport.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Michael and Jennie Broody Brody. James attended Jenks Road School and graduated from Tunkhannock Area High School. He worked as a farmer until becoming a mail carrier. He was a member of Bowmans Creek Free Methodist Church. In his free time, James was also the proprietor of the Jenks Athletic Club baseball field.

In addition to his parents, James is predeceased by his beloved wife, Shirley Mae.

He will be missed by his children, Kevin of Evans Falls, Karen and Frank Pagnotti of Tunkhannock, grandchildren, Jensen and Abbey Healey of Tunkhannock, Natalia Healey of Tunkhannock, and great-grandson, Hudson Healey.

Arrangements are at the convenience of the family through Nulton Kopcza Funeral Home, 5749 SR 309, Monroe Twp.
