Harry E. Zacharias, Jr.

Harry E. Zacharias, Jr., 96, of Monroe Twp., passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Harry was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA to the late Harry E., Sr. and Elizabeth (Kresge) Zacharias.

He was educated in the Beaumont School and went on to hold many jobs in his Life. He was a member of IBEW where he worked on many construction jobs as an electrician P&G, the Berwick Power Plant and various others. For a time, he was also a locomotive engineer for Conrail.

In addition to his parents, Harry is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 70 years, Marian, children, Harry, Dory, and Clara Zacharias, siblings, Agnes Pulsifur, Virginia Carpenter, Sara Jane Shannon, Clara Shupp, Hilda Traver, and Marjorie Race.

Harry is survived by his children, Sherry Murphy, Marian Space, Carol Sherwood, Mildred (Ron) Grey, George (Christine) Zacharias, Ralph Zacharias, and Beatrice Clark all of Monroe Twp.

He will be missed by his 190 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 23 at 11:00 AM at Nulton Kopcza Funeral Home 5749 SR 309 Beaumont, Monroe Twp. with the Rev. Rick Wormer of the Tunkhannock Assembly of God Church.

Interment will be in the Zacharias Family Cemetery, Monroe Twp.
