George W. Parrish

George W. Parrish, 96, of Dallas, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025, in his home.

George was born in Trucksville, to the late John and Lavina Lewis Parrish. He graduated from Mehoopany High School in 1947 and went on to serve our country in the United States Army, during the Korean War, being stationed at Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin, Germany. After his service, he started his 30-year career as a Delivery Driver and Service Manager for Suburban Propane. He was also employed by T C Lloyd Construction, and after he retired, he delivered for Neighbor Care Pharmacy until the age of 82. George was a member and Past Master of the Masonic Lodge #468 Wyoming, Irem Temple Shriners, Chapter and Command Consistory, Scranton, Carverton United Methodist Church Lay Leader and member of the Administrative Board and served for many years on the board of Carverton Cemetery Association. Until his passing, George was a member of Forty Fort United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Hildegard Parrish, his son, Dana John Parrish, brother, Robert Parrish, and infant great grandson Elliot Daniel Baker.

George is survived by his daughter, Patricia DelGaudio of Dallas, daughter-in-law, Betty Parrish of Easton, grandchildren, Jason Parrish, Amy Baker (Matt), Marisa Stem (Ryan). He will be missed by all, especially his great-grandchildren, Adeline Elizabeth Baker and David Walter Stem (born on George's 95th birthday).

Services will be held on Thursday, July 24 at 11:00 AM at Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, Inc. 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Interment will follow the service at Memorial Shrine Park, Wyoming.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, July 23 from 5-7 PM or Thursday, July 24, from 10-11 AM at Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, Inc.

Memorial donations can be made in George's name to Wyoming Masonic Lodge, 821 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, PA 18644.
