Genevieve A. Kolis

Genevieve A. Kolis (Guesto), 92 of Exeter, Pennsylvania, passed peacefully in Allied Hospice Center, Wilkes-Barre on Monday, November 18, 2024.

Genevieve was born in Hanover, to the late Ernesto and Anna D’Amico Guesto.

She graduated from Hanover Area High School in 1951 and worked at Main Pants, West Pittston as a loop-cutter. She resided in Exeter with her family and loved being a wife and mom. She was a longtime member of St Cecilia/St Barbara Parishes. Her favorite pastime was going to the Dupont VFW doing Polka Light Dancing with her friends for many years. 

Genevieve was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ambrose Kolis, daughter, Antoinette Dolinsky, siblings Sam, Dick, Pascal, Joseph, Theresa Ciavarella, & Anna Beretsky.

Genevieve is survived by her children, Jennifer (Mike) Syms of Plains, Paul (Marsha) Kolis of Taylor, grandchildren, Megan, John, Matt, Lindsey  and Rebecca and great granddaughter Olivia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 22, 10AM at St. Anthony of Pauda Church of Corpus Christi Parish, 224 Memorial St, Exeter.

Interment will follow at St. Cecilia Cemetery, Exeter.
