Dr. Eugene A. Kaczorowski, MD, 81, of Plains passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Allied Services Wilkes-Barre Hospice.
Eugene was born on July 9, 1941, in Zaręby Kościelne, Poland to Stanisław and Irena Kaczorowski. He graduated from high school and went on to further his education at Medical University of Silesia, Poland. He started his career as an Internist in Poland until he moved to the United States in 1974, then in 1975, he began his internship in OBGYN at Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens before opening his practice. For over 40 years, Eugene was a beloved member of the Wilkes-Barre medical community, running his Obstetrics practice with his wife, Eva, in Nesbitt and General Hospitals. He was a member of the American Medical Association, Polish National Alliance and Saints Peter and Paul Parish, Plains.
Eugene loved being a physician, and continuously marveled at the advancements in science throughout his life. He was dedicated to his family, and loved his home, political debates, home-cooked Polish meals and his little Shih-Tzu, Loki.
Eugene is survived by his wife of 50 years, Eva Korol Kaczorowski; their children, Jeannette Kaczorowski (Derek Stefanuk), of Brooklyn, NY, and Mark Kaczorowski (Megan McCann), of San Jose, CA; brother, Jerzy Kaczorowski of Poland, and children Adam and Kasia; brothers-in-law Ryszard Korol (Renata Piekarska), Matthew Korol (Mona), sister-in-law Liliana Korol; nephew Bartek Korol and niece Natalia Korol and their families.
A special thanks to Dr. Philip Lee and Dr. Lawrence Matthews of Geisinger Hospital and all the caring nurses and assistants, as well as the kind staff at Allied Services Hospice Center of Willies-Barre.

A Mass of Catholic Burial for Dr. Eugene Kaczorowski, MD will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023, 10:00 am at Saints Peter and Paul Parish, 13 Hudson Road, Plains. Fr. Jack Lampbert, celebrant.
Inurnment: Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
