Daniel M. Munafo

Daniel M. Munafo 63, of Wyoming passed away Tuesday October 10, 2023, at Highland Manor rehabilitation Center, Exeter.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Frank and Margaret (Pohonish) Munafo. He was a graduate of Scranton Central class of 1978. After high school he attended Penn State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Dan went on to work for the Pennsylvania State Board of Probation and Parole as a Parole Officer for 30yrs until his retirement and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police
Dan loved his cars and was an avid sports fan who loved rooting for Penn State, the LA lakers and Rams.
Surviving is his brother Frank Munafo of West Pittston; sister; Mary Jo Rachko, Old Forge; nephew Randy Rachko and nieces Lindsay Minnick (Mike) and Jillian Rachko; and his dog Kobe.
A mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday at 11am in St. Anthony of Padua Church of St. Barbaras Parish 224 Memorial Street Exeter with Father Louis Grippe celebrant.
Interment will be in Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
