Charles L. Milazzo, 86, a lifelong resident of W. Wyoming, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024, at Highland Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Exeter.
He was the son of the late Samuel and Jean Gadomski Milazzo. Charles graduated from West Wyoming High School in 1955 and Temple University Pharmacy School before beginning a long successful career in the pharmacy industry. Together with his family, Chuck proudly and diligently served Wilkes-Barre, and the surrounding communities as the owner and operator of Marlinos Pharmacy for over 25 years. He was a self-taught musician and the bass player for the EZ Ride Band. Chuck and his musical partner Chick Reeves performed as a local country western duo “The Chick and Chuck Band”, serving the community through entertainment, and becoming local legends. These times were among the greatest source of pride for Chuck.
In addition to his parents, Charles was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Tarapchak Milazzo, and their daughter, Jeanne Milazzo Piccirilli.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathy (Stephen) Pelleschi of Exeter; son, Chuck (Karen) Milazzo of Shavertown; son-in-law Dr. Thomas Piccirilli of Wyoming; grandchildren, Karly and Lily Milazzo; and grandson, Matthew Pelleschi.
Charles’ family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks for the kind and compassionate care he received by the nurses and staff at Highland Manor during his residence there and by the Visiting Angels that cared for him in his home prior to his move.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024, 11:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church of St. Barbaras Parish, 224 Memorial St., Exeter.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass at St. Anthonys Church of St. Barbaras Parish.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
