Byron E. Atherholt

Byron Earl Atherholt, 64, of Harding, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025, at his home.

Byron was born in Pittston, PA, to Mary (Crich) Atherholt and the late Asa Atherholt.

He was a graduate of West Side Vocational Tech school in 1979 and went on to serve his country in the United States Army. Following his service, he secured a career in the mail room for the Social Security Administration.

Byron was an avid outdoors man who loved to be on the water on his kayak. Whenever the weather was nice you can find him on the river, showing his grandson the correct way to use tools or outside always listening to his music, his happy place.

In addition to his father, Byron is preceded in death by siblings, Allan Atherholt, Asa Atherholt, Jacqueline Hoffman and Kimberly Atherholt.

Byron is survived by his mother Mary Atherholt of Morgantown, children, Tyler (Amanda) Atherholt of Dallas, Britnee (Liam) Ribaudo of TX, siblings, Steven (Debbie) Atherholt of FL, Larry Atherholt of Dallas, Susan (Richard) Benya of Morgantown, and the light of his world, his grandson Declan Atherholt.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025. Contact family for arrangements.
