Bernard L. Edmonds, 32,of Pittston, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.
Bernard Edmonds was born on July 24, 1991 in Orange, NJ, to Marissa Keith (Dawson) and the late Ernest Edmonds.
Bernard was a graduate of Wyoming Area High School, Class of 2009. He attended Wilkes University, playing basketball there. He started his career as a driver for J. Cawley Moving Co. of Hanover Industrial Park, and coached basketball at his alma mater Wyoming Area. Bernard’s pride and joy was his family. Bernard was a loving husband. He especially enjoyed making memories with his wife, Maggie, and daughter, Sloane, and was excitedly anticipating the arrival of his second daughter. His smile was infectious, and he brought pure happiness to all that knew him.
Bernard is preceded in death by his father Ernest Edmonds, maternal grandparents Marion and Edward Dawson, stepfather Charles Keith and his father-in-law’s wife, Laurie Ostrowski.
Bernard is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret (Ostrowski); daughters, Sloane and Baby Girl Edmonds; mother, Marissa Keith (Dawson) of Detroit, MI, step-mother Tracy Edmonds of Exeter; paternal grandparents, Bernard and Pearl Edmonds of East Orange, NJ; brothers, Gary Edmonds (Jennifer) of Howell, NJ, EJ Edmonds of Newark, NJ, Eric Dawson and companion Amber Brown of Detroit, MI; and sister, Nicole Edmonds of Woodbridge, NJ, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, August 7, 2023, from 4-8 PM at Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, PA 18644.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
