ANGIE ZAGURSKY, passed away January 17, 2021 at Kadima Rehabilitation and Nursing at Lakeside, Harveys Lake from complications associated with Covid-19.

Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Laura (Anzalone) Giannone. She was a 1941 graduate of Pittston High School. Upon graduation she moved to Buffalo, New York, where she worked at the Curtiss-Wright defense plant as a riveter on fighter planes during World War II. After the war, she returned to Pittston and was employed in the garment industry. In 1950 she married Matt Zagursky and moved to Wyoming, Pa where she raised her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew who passed away in 1983, her sisters Connie Giannone and Tina Litwin.

She is survived by her children, Joan Blakeslee and her husband Daniel, South Carolina, Elaine Brennan and her husband Edward, Forty-Fort, and Mark Zagursky and his wife Denise, Harrisburg; grandchildren, Erin Brennan, Amber Germani, Michael Blakeslee, Danielle Horn, Laura Wares, and Maria Zagursky; and 10 great grandchildren, Emma, Aiden, Isabella, Sophia, Jeffrey, Harper, Lila, Jack, Alexandra and Makenzie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Monica’s Parish 363 West 8th Street West Wyoming.

Interment will be in St. Rocco’s Cemetery, Pittston Twp.

There will be no calling hours.
