Albert G. Endres, 90, of Hughestown, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Albert was born on January 13, 1933, in W. Pittston, to the late Albert and Ellen (Kay) Endres. Albert graduated from West Pittston High School in 1950 and went on to serve our country in the United States Navy. Albert was stationed on the USS Missouri during the Korean War. He worked in construction most of his life and retired as an Inspector of Construction for the State of PA. He was a Past Potentate of the Irem Temple Shriners, Dallas, PA and a dedicated member of their Provost Guard. He was a member and Past Master of Valley Masonic Lodge #499, an avid hunter and golfer, and a sports enthusiast, cheering for the Eagles and Yankees.

In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by two wives; Bernadette (Mullins) Endres and Mary-Anne Glassman-Endres; and his brother, Robert.
He is survived by his companion Marie Yatsko; children, David (Marlene) Endres of Kingston, OH, Janet Kelly, of Exeter, James (Patricia) Endres of Wyoming; stepchildren, Rebecca Glassman of Kingston and Steven Glassman of Myrtle Beach, SC; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

The Funeral Service for Albert will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023, 11:00 AM at Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, Inc. Pastor Craig Gommer, officiant.

Family and friends may call on Sunday, September 17, from 6:00-9:00 PM at Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, Inc., 504 Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming and on Monday, September 18, from 10:00 AM until the service.

Interment will follow the service at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Cemetery of the German People, corner of Center and Rock Sts., Hughestown , PA.

Memorial donations can be made in Albert’s name to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Irem Shrine, PO Box 307, Dallas, PA 18612.
